Transhumanism is the silly philosophical and/or “intellectual” notion that we can take humankind further through technology, i.e., cybernetics and implants, to improve longevity and cognition. (It typically involves extremely fanciful ideas of futurism, including brain transfer and computer algorithms.) There are a lot of people who want to take humanity to the ‘next level,’ and they even think that it’s possible and coming soon. Of course, this doesn’t always apply to other species (e.g., birds and bees), and it’s reasons are never absolute or ethical. To add, it’s a movement that’s gained a lot of traction more recently through the ideas of electrical transference and synaptic evolution. It’s also generally involved in the world of hereditary genetics and the propulsion of unethical, impractical ideas of eugenics. In the end, regardless of the outcome, it’s worthy of pursuit and praise, even though it’s expensive and almost entirely useless. 1. It’s Impossible
Although we can all wishfully think our ways into thinking a robot body (cyborg) or brain is possible, it simply isn’t very practical. (It’s driven by ideals set by post-WW2 advancements and culture that was perpetuated by sci-fi [cyberpunk] tropes and expectations set during the 1980s.) There’s also plenty of reason to believe that it defeats the point of existing to begin with; it doesn’t go anywhere or somewhere positively pleasant. (We’re often stuck simply accepting what others want, or we fight with words of rebellion to quell it all.) If we’re to do the same for other species, including plants (flora) & animals (fauna), then it’s likely to only serve humanity anyway. So, the motivations are often worthy of question and rebuke (or censure), and the drive for it often involves a litany of insane ideals. And simply because we believe (or hope) that it can happen doesn’t make it actually possible! However, there’s also the side that think our brains/neurons and physiology are compatible — this is another silly delusion of hope, too!

2. It’s Selfish
Either we accept the doom of the future, or we contrive reasons to keep things the same without advancement … to some degree. (It’s obviously not always that simple, especially if certain things are not possible.) However, there’s always an ideal, and it comes down to personal acceptance of social and technological progress. We are simply contriving an even more pointless existence through technology instead of looking at the actual problem and solution. (Humans are selfish, playful, glib, and fearful “creatures” who will play with the truth to get their way.) Of course, social structures would collapse (if it happened to fast or without scientific focus), and it would show that we haven’t the faintest idea of how to prevent problems from happening. (It’d be another problem to prevent, and it’s not that hard to figure out.) However, we are seeing that advancement on a global scale takes a lot of time, so we haven’t reached the point-of-no-return yet. It sounds unpleasant; however, it’s still where the facts point towards.

3. It’s Pointless
Other than how are despicable expectations can directly affect others, we should look at what the function actually is. The reason that anyone would do something to begin with is because they’re thinking that there is a point to the thing they’re doing. (Of course, things change, and there are states that we exist in that can have better outcomes.) However, there are states of blind optimism that keep people in the loop regardless of the cost. The scientist says, “We have to do something, right?” Although, this is simply not the way anything actually works; there is no realistic FUNCTION. Instead of looking at a reasonable outcome, we think that we have no other way, and this is actually correct. Unfortunately, we also understand that anyone can rationalize and believe that it’s best for anyone in spite of it being entirely pointless. We should also look at how other things are certainly impossible — a ubiquitous happy pill — instead of seeing a livable solution everywhere. Yes, it’s simply psychological and impulsive thinking.

4. It’s Dangerous (Unsustainable)
‘Knowledge’ and our ‘intelligence’ are ‘key’ to understanding things without blind optimism curating a perceived positive outcome. Of course, we ignore our natural attrition by acting out with politics or movements such as feminism and veganism to placate our need for improvement (betterment). Unfortunately, the brutality that we try to evade or avoid from the barbaric past will not fix the issues at hand; however, it’s on principle that we should partake in their success. (We’re not going to fix the universe because it does not need fixing; it’s a zero-sum, determined game.) The words we’re using are just as diplomatically important as the technology that we’re sentencing others to. Additionally, our egoism plays a crucial role, and we drip-feed people into a unsustainable mindset instead of reason. We can all understand that our desires get in the way of rationality! However, the answer is never a good enough one, as we should still have enough ethical empathy to understand the unchanging raping AND pillaging.

5. It’s Unknown
A lot of these problems that we have (as a whole) are driven by societal factors, pressures and fractures that should be “fixed” instead. (Of course, overpopulation is one of them, but why should we bother focusing on sustainable outcomes when we’re just dumb animals, right?) However, no one is necessarily forcing the issue, but we’re also not looking at other feasible outcomes. It also defeats the point, especially if we’re to feel special among the group. (It’s not to say that we shouldn’t do any of it, but it’s actually not real science, etcetera.) Although, now we can disable or pay our way to victory! It also needlessly creates another situation where unfairness wins or where no one is “special” again. If I had anything to say about it, the truest answer is voluntary extinction, elemental annihilation, and functional reward and punishment mechanisms (or schemes). To add, marriage is on the decline, and the more Rockwellian notion of reality and family is a thing of the ancient past! Thankfully, that’s absolutely GREAT!

6. It’s Highly Ignorant
The idea that we can fix everything with a genetic test is strictly and only insane, and its craziness comes from a phantasmagorical ideal. (We want to fix everything, even though we can’t.) It’s akin to the ignorance of the world: the world is flat, UFOs, or thinking that selective breeding is a good idea. (Our brains are hardwired to fix problems with the “right” [or wrong] answers in spite of the odds.) Unfortunately, it’s better to uphold our humanity to a much higher standard by making it possible that everyone understands something more factual; it’s rather easy. (The problems will be fixed; however, there’s more to it than that.) Our biology obviously wants it, and it’s here to at least think about. However, like veganism, there are benefits, but the health benefits are not the reason that you should be doing it to begin with. Even if you have the same outcome, the motivation could be the future enemy. Although, it’s just a good idea to build that herd in any way that you can and fix it with persuasive debate or discussion.

7. It is Impractical/Weakness
Society has always changed, and the definition of a culture has now broadened to the point of it not existing in a definitive bubble. (It’s a hodgepodge of different ideals now!) Furthermore, philosophy is less culturally handwaved into nonexistence. Here’s a good example: An antinatalist ‘shouldn’t’ have kids, but it can still happen for other reasons before or after a person understands this philosophy. Additionally, a person (or parent) with a better philosophy can still have children and instill this knowledge onto their offspring/children; it’s not directly genetically inherited. (A child can also revert back to natalism, but nature and nurture factors can always play a role.) Of course, the truth is not that nuanced, but relying on AI and exploitation is absolutely nuts. And what this means is that there’s always a fine line to walk with this so-called “progress.” However, something like curing cancer could be the solution, but there’s always an end in sight that shouldn’t necessarily per se stop us. (We’re doomed with expenses no matter what … .

8. It’s a Waste of Time & Money
It’s not to say that “transhumanism” is hugely or actively popular, but it’s also a very subtle mindset that a lot of people can adopt or display through technological memes created by societal standards. In fact, these antiquated ideals are created by an archaic and primitive mindset. There’s already (needless) procreation and evolution, but it’s almost become a pseudo-religious (pseudoscience) cult at this point. There’s nothing that we can do, and it’s because we rely on plausible deniability to create our theories. Of course, we’re meant to be animalistic, but we’re also meant to be logical! So, why don’t we use this, huh!?

We use this technology to build a “better” civilization, i.e., electronics, chemistry, and physics; however, where does it lead? (Oftentimes, nowhere!) Or, at least if we’re playing the right game, we should understand that others will disagree and so on. But where does this lead, right? Although we’re sitting around and improving our chances while we’re here, we could doing something else that will actually make a difference in our lives. To whom this may concern, it’s bad … really bad … . In the end, to think about or to waste valuable resources it is a waste of time and money. 9. It’s Playing God
It’s not entirely illogical to see why people desire things, but there’s also room to believe that most people do not question (control) their initial or visceral notions and emotions (on time). Of course, second-guessing oneself is important, but it typically means that less crude (rude) or rudimentary ideas are less likely to begin with. People typically want the shortcut solution an thought process that makes life easier to live. Additionally, NATURE is not GOD or perfection, but we shouldn’t try to fix it with unnatural non-solutions. (Everything is natural, but not everything is necessarily “manmade.”) There’s a stigma against a lack of civilization, but we’re already doing it! Yes, we’re already living in an uncivilized civilization that is difficult to run, and that’s why civilization is only a short-term thing. It hasn’t been around before, and it’s hard to run one. How we judge ourselves is how we often judge others; however, it should probably be the other way around. “Why is this bad?” you ask. Well, it comes down to stupidity.

10. It is Unethical
Yes, insolence breeds, but there is more CORRELATION involved than simply being ignorant about humanity’s progress. Maybe a peer group of scientists will even believe that they can do it, but the real science (and scientists) actually say otherwise or advise against its possibility or ethical prowess. There’s also reason to believe that they might think they know best and rationalize an excuse through grandstanding with a stance for all of humanity by thinking that they know better. They may even believe that our state of mind is flawed and our unhappiness can be fixed with a simple or complicated solution. However, if we end up doing this, then it’s because of several factors: imposition, unjust biosphere/ecosystem, and ambition. (What the point in all of that if there’s no consent with its possibility.)

We do this because of our selfishness; however, there are limitations without our universe, our reality. (It’s unjust on its own, but without curating something to stop technology from “seeking” revenge is important. Of course, it may not reach that far, but it’s still something to consider! Will we be doing it? Is it also worth it? Sure, but does it make it all right? NO! And it’s simply not the answer we’re actually looking for. (Technology will not fix the endemic facts.) In fact, there’s no good answer to evolution’s drive, because it would also be a problem. We’re also driven by fear, but science is practical at sustainable levels. In addition to this, the brain (our neural network) is not compatible with computer or networking hardware (electronics), and the software is too synthetic to have any feasible impact on our SET hardware.

Everyone feels, including the animals that you skin, cook, and eat on a daily basis. (Circuitry will not CHANGE any of this for the overall better.) Of course, forcing others to acquiesce is never going to give you a beneficial outcome. Instead we have to lampoon people with knowledge and positive reinforcement that bends them towards THE truth. Unfortunately, it’s harder to make an argument against the status quo because of its control over the post-modern zeitgeist. In the end, instant annihilation is probably better than the playing of god with unintelligent design curated by crude forces. Unfortunately, we’re not there as of yet; however, it’s not to say that these “improvements” cannot have their place or function. It’s just that we’re expecting too much without putting the right effort in all of the right places.

Value and precious commodities (consciousness) are important, but there’s nothing wrong with trying to take some control away from EVILution. However, it’s kind of like physics — you cannot break it (for the better)! Thankfully, weening the population down is a better solution, but it will not stop us from becoming weaker (or dumber). When push comes to shove, positive incentivization and birthrate decline are the only answers to our woes. But, at least for the most part, we’re all screwed!!!!! After all, it’s a causal, determined universe that creates an effect that can make us think that we have control. Electronics will not fix this conundrum. It’s too philosophical, but it will likely not stop it unless something is already doing it as well. In fact, we’re driven by fear, and F.E.A.R is the driver of our conscious, sentient brain, too.
