The fear of flying can come from all sorts of things, and this specific fear can be haunting, especially while in midair. Generally speaking, the fears are the same, but some people have more specific fears or phobias. Unfortunately, some people simply hate the act of anything catastrophic happening at all. This means that if you hit turbulence or require an emergency landing, which is also rare, the suffering victim will freak out (expecting the worse). Of course, it’s easier said than done! Of course, everyone has it to some degree; however, there are those of us whom have it really, really bad. Regardless, we always have plenty of ways around it, and although we may never eliminate many of our fears for good, we can certainly improve our perceptions.
