Having any one entity totally in charge of the internet is a problem, even if the showrunners are decent. If only we were more aware of this, but most people tend to look the other way. To be fair, it’s not like most of us are aware of how we are being screwed over. We are being boiled in a pot, but the process happened slow enough for us not to notice. Google is the first and last place on the planet you will find a functioning search engine. They have consumed everything around them, and the only viable option has them looking in the mirror. There are very few alternatives out there, and you will have to search for them through Google. If you are lucky, you may find something that works, but there are always risks involved. The last thing you want is Google’s negative attention, because you go the way of the dodo really fast. If speaking truth to power is your thing, then you may be in for a rude awakening. This typically involves setting the standard for what is acceptable without actually supporting it. While this is much the same for any company, Google runs the business and glows brass balls in the process. They will hide behind their grandiose logo to hide what they truly believe. While the support is there, they will secretly make it nearly impossible to accomplish anything. There is nothing special about Google except for the fact that they are in charge and love to virtue signal.
