The two instruments actually have a similar way of playing, and in terms of chord structure, can easily be learned from each other.

Kids from an era seem to be be fading, as the piano is less likely woven into the family spirit, but it’s still an option. It’s great to begin learning later on, and it’s easy to get the basics down and start learning. Give it a try, just be sure to wash your hands and the keys for the next guy. Hey, who said you couldn’t be a part of or entirely your own instrument? No one, right? It was a rhetorical question, but it’s true — you can be your own instrument. I don’t mean playing patty cake with yourself, but hey, anything counts. I’m primarily talking about your diaphragm and vocal cords: your voice.
I mean, haven’t you heard of that TV show? Yeah, not a fan!
Your voice is versatile and useful, and it’s something you use daily. You have plenty of practical experience and practice, but you need to go all in. You can train your voice to the likes of anyone. Yes, some folks have an easier time getting use to their voice and have more talent. This doesn’t mean you can’t have the best voice on the block though, especially if you work at it and hone your craft.

If you have a brain, you usually have a voice, you just have to know how to use it. You have to push it through your diaphragm and vibrate your throat chords, but it’s there. The pieces are there to align, you just have to act it out. You get the point, right? It’s not that hard unless you want it to be, or it just happens to be. It’s the easiest instrument, or for that fact, non-instrument you can begin to learn.

Do you feel it? You better, because I do, and that means you do too! Get your dexterity going with an instrument or two, because it’ll do you some grave good. It’s barely a practice if you enjoy it, and you will. It’s not that hard anyway, and you can learn anyway you wish. Considering the fact that you may have some considerable free time at hand, especially now and days, get on it! You’ll probably feel at least a ten fold better.
