As we all should know, not everything that stands the test of time is welcoming or decent, especially if we’re talking about ancient, archaic ways of life. (These beliefs or measures are often antiquated and a part of a [long gone] bygone era.) Tradition, be it religion, ethnocentricity, or even the will to instill patriotism, jingoism, or nationalism are always wrought with significant downsides. In fact, there’s still room for these traditions in the modern age, but they may be partaken by a smaller, more exclusive sect of the national/global community. And if we’re to take anything seriously, then we must look at the flaws without finding excuses for any of them. It’d also be fairly judicious of us to not immediately pass judgement on them without understanding why these relics of the past are not necessarily welcome. In the end, there’s room for debate, but there’s also room for unmitigated force. Tradition can come about for a lot of different (silly reasons, and they’re all certainly possible if they have already happened. However, it doesn’t make it right just because it exists or has existed somewhere. I mean, if we’re still here, then a tradition must be acceptable, right? After all, the passage of time can obviously do us no harm whatsoever, especially if we persevere through it. Although, if we’re being completely honest, then we should understand how some things are actually no good, i.e., religion and superstition. But it works for some people, and it’s happened numerous times before … .
1. Its Arrogance
What we do ends up dictating what will happen next, and it’s a part of history that we often forget. It’s the flow of time (or distance and action) that controls what changes, etcetera. If not for “time,” we wouldn’t be here, and the end would have happened instantaneously (hypothetically). Now, in spite of our occurrence, we’ve found a way to exist! (It’s obvious that we have existence; however, there are a plethora of problems that originate from this rationalization.) Thankfully, we all should have an understanding of how history repeats itself, but it somehow also means that we should be able to do whatever and whenever we want, correct? (Just follow the same path.) Unfortunately, some people, based on “their” country’s culture or not, think that this means that we’re allowed to do anything. “If we made it this far, then we might as well continue the trend,” they say with little understanding of their displayed irony, stupidity, and frivolity. After all, we’re all just here to repeat the same old tired mistakes of the past!

2. Its Ignorance
Now, it’s not to say that people of the past have not given us something useful, but it doesn’t mean that we should carry every aspect of what they’ve done before us. (It’s obvious that survival was key and difficult; however, it’s not that hard to “survive” for someone when they’re playing by the crude rules of reality with relative ease.) If anything, we’ve made some traditions much better, but other traditions have been made worse with time, too. There’s also a threshold that the past hadn’t overcome yet, which makes our mistakes all the more appalling. Then again, we’re always going to be in the dark, especially when we avoid the obvious truths of existence. (Denial, narcissism, and outright stupidity have caused this disagreement with facts; social evolution changed this for good.) Now, beyond the veil stands another truth — humans (and other animals) have always stuck to an ignorant truth. It’s also true that people we’re inventing differences through attrition. And, if anything, everyone’s gotten a lot weaker & DUMBER!

3. Its Glibness
Why shouldn’t we all simply shrug off the obvious signs of impunity & unfairness; it’s almost entirely necessary to make it work. And, at least if we’re being honest with ourselves, there’s reason to look at the firm truth and understand that there’s no actual in-between. (We justify life and our so-called values because it’s all that we know, and it makes us comfortable in our endless, needless addiction.) After all, everyone is here to take (mostly) for themselves and undermine the afterparty — it’s part of the so-called “fun.” We might as well just play ourselves and accept things for what they are without realizing that we’re rolling the epitomal dice every time we choose to miss. Even though we make it to the next day and things happen anyway does not mean that everything should keep going this way … . There’s nothing we can do, and it’s because of our need for tradition, be it good or bad, to show us the way. However, if this happens to be the case, then why shouldn’t we all just …? Never mind, it’s not that important … .

4. Its Barbarism
The past is no place to call your home, and it’s only shown us this through every page of world and/or cultural history. And although there were good times to be had, they were certainly few and far, far between. (It’s not like we had much of a choice, but there’s always a difficult choice to be made.) The appreciation that we can show comes through our enamoring stupidity that misguides us towards pleasure after times of adversity/hardship and bland mediocrity. (The “fanboys” of reality and its “jankiness” have a massive lack of critical thinking skills.) Although, it’s not always likely to show up, especially if you’re finding yourself killed for an obnoxiously stupid reason. “What does this mean?” you ask. Well, it certainly shows us that no matter what, tradition will shape us. It also displays an unpleasant fact about the brutality of the honest world and how we cannot avoid bloodshed entirely. Furthermore, if we’re being completely honest, then we should also look at the memes of social evolution, too.

5. It’s Archaic
If this wasn’t already obvious, then it should be now! After all, tradition is really nothing to write home about because of it being played out and overused; it’s antiquated. (Tradition is the foundation for cultures that cannot let go and need validation during the modern day.) Everyone will say something like this: “We’ve been there and done that, but why stop now when we’ve been doing it for so long!” However, does this make it alright to justify things from the past, especially if they should be changed for more modern times. Although, have things actually changed? Of course! It’s just that they haven’t changed in a good way or by that much. And, if we’re being honest, the past is to blame for this as well. Now, in spite of it seeming like I’m being overly harsh on tradition, it’s important to understand that the present isn’t good. And we’re also being controlled by the past while we’re also controlling the future. The future is more important at this point, and it means that we should always take a stand for betterment.

6. Its Laziness
Not all tradition is bad, and it essentially means that we’re not too strung out … it’s laziness. (We had to start somewhere, and we unfortunately did.) If anything, it’s simply that misguided principles and their effects that can sometimes reverberate into something more subtle or catastrophic. (We’re not completely dead, but how much worse can it get, especially if we’re playing games on Facebook and TikTok?) To make things even more unsavory, it’s also a tradition to think that antiquated ideals are cool or interesting. (Homogeny in believe makes life easier, but it’s never that easy if chosen poorly.) Of course, some people are still stuck in the past, but are they to blame entirely. It may even seem better that we blame ourselves for making the future worse because we simply want nothing to do with it. Now, this may create a decent outcome, but why not try a little harder. It’s obviously never straining principle to show that you care about making a difference from the past to the future, right? Then do it right!

7. Its Control
As if telling yourself that your ancestors had the answers was somehow a good idea! Yeah, sure they did! However, it’s also true that the world (cause & effect [determinism]) shapes us, but we also shape the world around us, unfortunately. (We’re simply a nebulous blob to the real, microscopic [or atomic] world.) With this fact in mind, we should also consider how this means that we’re all just hugging/groping a concept or mentality about change that means that we’re not entirely caught up; we’re roleplaying ignorance no matter what. Yes, everything effects everything, and it has our affection, at least for the most part. It’s simply too bad that we have less control over its outcome. Should you just bend the knee and accept, or should you fight it. (Logic should confine this, but we’re all acting according to an open book: reality.) Although, regardless of your choice, you’re still not in true control of the world or yourself. (I know, it’s very spooky!) What does have control though is what happened before, and it’s never that bad.

8. It’s Evolution
Humans haven’t changed much over the last 10,000 years, and it’s likely to stay this way as well. (There’s no more physical evolution, as we’re not in the wild trying to segment or isolate the population.) Sometimes, we simply have to accept that some things don’t have a much “better” answer, and we should just accept them as a part of reality. (You cannot change cause and effect, but, although we cannot change it, it’s still going to be a mitigating factor in our existence.) However, if we’re actually looking at things logically, then it shouldn’t be that hard for our brain to accept an original cause (or lack thereof). (Of course, logic dictates that we look at things without extrapolating the wrong information, i.e., emotional responses, use of intelligence, etcetera.) What this means is that we’re stuck in a state of technological affair that should guide us towards an obvious answer about our existence. And instead of using logic to satisfy our short-term emotions, we should satisfy the truth or a better “logic.”

9. It’s an Obstruction
If things are good, then they should last for a while, right? However, it’s not like this is actually happening. (It would be nice if misery were quick and pleasure were slow, but it doesn’t make sense otherwise because of what we understand to be true.) Then again, I’d argue that a short-lived culture is better, but not because it’s tenure is bad or knocked out of existence … . We’ve obviously made progress, but it doesn’t mean that our trends or traditions shouldn’t be insulted or weeded out of existence. Like evolution, what we do does not deserve respect or awe simply because it’s “interesting” or new — it’s not all that interesting. In fact, it’s the actual problem in an assortment of ways: glibness, vacuous philosophies, and ignorance. Although, on one hand, it means that a short-lived culture didn’t stagnate and create a diffuse culture that got lost and accept extreme boundaries. It’s also about cultures/traditions having a good reason to die out, especially since humanity is living high on coke trails.

10. It’s Impending Doom
At this point, we’ve got social changes (memes) that shape the evolutionary landscape; however, we need more to prove that our long-lasting traditions are worth it. (Are we really worth it if this is all that we’ve got?) However, they’re obviously not that necessary if we can philosophically rebuke them and understand that we didn’t have to be here to begin with. (We should simply give up; although, the hopelessness of a few will not outweigh the birthing of the many.) It’s also a sign that we’re on our way out or should simply let go; we’re on our way out anyway. Unfortunately, this is not the way that population control works on the macroscale, especially in poor countries with bad politics and a penchant for nonsensical traditions. (We must accept them.) There’s simply too much ‘lending of credence’ to differences in culture, but it’s not understood rationally or with much critical thought. And we simply allow the worse to control us, but we then decide that we can observe it without having to deal with the consequences.

The end is very much nigh; however it doesn’t mean that the journey/adventure didn’t account for anything, correct? After all, we’re all (humanity) stuck in this pathetic game of cat-and-mouse together! Furthermore, it’s just the fact — something that people hate — that we’re going to have to deal with each other, mostly. (This is where it all falls apart and proves that there’s no winning!) Again, culture is an amalgamation of different ideas, as a culture cannot be ordained with only one person involved. (Traditions can also be built around a dictatorial government [e.g., the worst of us] and its leadership.)

Although it all sounds rather rash, a tradition is built around a group of settlers or people, but the group can be either very large or small. Of course, people can defy a tradition, but they will then create their own habits to take a tradition’s place. (You can never get rid of it until we’re gone, so what’s the point.) Not only is this acceptable, but a tradition is a sign that we’ve likely taken something too far, be it acceptable or absolutely crazy/insane. And even if it doesn’t control us directly, it’s something worth fighting against, too. Thankfully, it’s never too late, and it’s not just tradition … . *as long as we do it right*
