For the most part, humans have found a way to teach any number of “different people” in any number of different ways. These specific ways may not always be the best ways; although, they often get the job done well enough. (There’s a difference between greasing the wheels and maliciously burning the rubber on the wheels.) However, once the stray cat is out the proverbial bag, there are certain things that we should know to not partake in. (It’s akin to teaching your pets a new trick by smacking it into submission.) Not only will they not get they desired outcome, but questions of neglect and abuse come into play. Now, even if the perpetrator gets what they want, they are likely not in possession of an adequate amount of justification to rationalize their often ill-conceived debauchery. (This is not always the way it works, though.) In fact, far too many folks are finding themselves being taught lessons by hacks or through inconvenient teaching styles. In the end, these are the 10 ways that you should not teach people!
—
Are you teaching yourself or someone else, and what provides you with the most satisfaction! Are you a better auditory or visual learner. In this sense, it depends, and just about anything can be the “wrong” way. (It doesn’t matter if you’re a teacher at a school or a trainer for a job program.) However, some things are more “incorrect” than others, and it makes sense to adapt to a change in style or substance. (And it’s always best to keep your wits about you and your strengths.) Unfortunately, not every situation can adapt to every person, so it’s also up to them to make those changes themselves as well.

The 10 Ways That You Should Not Teach People
1. Being Wrong
To put it quite plainly, the wrong information can be so incorrect (or invalid) that it becomes a liability that can easily get someone killed. Unfortunately, education is a tricky business, and most people are not properly equipped with the means of doing their job well or correct enough. “Why is this?” you relevantly inquire. Well, it boils down to most people not really knowing how to deal with other individuals or groups of people. You will see it often enough, but most “educators” do not know how to teach! Even the teachers struggle with teaching their “special” students; however, just about anyone can act like an educator. The wrong information is often used, but it’s not like everyone will know better. (It’s not an aggressive style of teaching that gets people into serious trouble.) Although, it should also be stated that having the wrong information can upset some people. To make these matters even worse, being wrong can result in outcomes that could’ve been avoided, especially if the correct information was being taught!

2. Belittling Others
There’s something about teaching an old dog new tricks, but there’s also the allegorical use of the carrot and the stick to use as an example. In fact, there’s always been a problem when it comes to understanding the invaluable use of positive and negative reinforcement. We also know that methods of abuse have been used to shake people into professional shape so that they perform adequately. Unfortunately, most people aren’t always the ones to react extremely positively to being told that they’re doing something wrong. (You can obviously be to blame, or it can be the person learning from you.) Furthermore, if you’re telling them that their entire family or group of friends are wrong as well, then you may find out that this especially studious ‘teacher/student’ relationship will not last for very long. Although it sounds harsh, there’s much to say for respecting your trainees so that they aren’t going to be distracted with “swaths” of disrespect. And, even if you can sneak it in, you’re likely setting yourself up …!!!

3. Harsh Penalties
What about the use of corporal punishment?” you inquire. Well, it boils down to a lot of little things. What is the lesson, and what are you trying to relay. (Knowing what you’re doing is part of a good teaching lesson, be it a good or even questionable lesson.) Is the audience something to consider, and how do you properly address this audience so that they do not partake in similar behaviors. Have you gone too far, and to what degree should we punish criminals through our often draconian laws. In fact, the law pursues capital punishment as a way of equilibrium — having it fit the crime. We’ve got our set of codes, but codes will only take you so far on their own, but they often simplify the job for those of us who want to do little thinking. It also gives people the right to share their opinions through means of public discourse that can result in hurt feelings and corruption. In the end, the lessons that we dole out often have consequences, and they can be thoughtful or abrasive. So, what does this mean? Well, fairness matters … .

4. Not Listening
If you’re ‘wanting’ to teach someone, be it a dirty, rotten scoundrel or inept hooligan, then you’ll find that reciprocation is that crucial key towards success. In fact, the more that you can learn from the other persons, the more likely that you find that the persons will listen back. (I know, it’s quite insane!) Now, this isn’t always a precedent that you have to set from the get-go; however, it is often relevant to an “openminded” relationship. (It’s mostly a matter of personal boundaries, moves, and shared utility/respect between different people.) Some people may not always be forthright about what they require, and it may not always be obvious! However, it’s always something that actually works in a relationship that involves teaching someone something. Even if it doesn’t seem like it’s that important, it’s often one of the ideal solutions towards teaching a harsh lesson or creating an honest working environment. Of course, this can range from school to the pits — it’s not important to everyone. And adaptation is a part of it, too!

5. Becoming Static
To many people, it would appear as though you’re not partaking in your judicial duty if you’re being too easy on someone. (You’re also not giving the right advice, especially if it doesn’t work for a particular person.) Now, this may sound complicated, but finding that correct balance is key! And it’s obviously not always going to work ideally or even be your fault. You can be teaching the right information, but the other person is not understanding it. Unfortunately, it’s also a matter of displaying the correct skills. (You shouldn’t forcibly push your personality into every situation.) There are even people out there who struggle with specific learning styles, hence why you should be able to learn how to do it on the spot. Some people are simply training others how to do simple activities, i.e., certain jobs or sports. What does this mean!? Well, it means that struggling people may have a taste issue with you, and this means that you must be adaptive to every situation. It’s not like many troubled teachers will have this chance. though.

6. Making Mistakes
Other than having the wrong information, you should always find a way to not be ‘intentionally’ incorrect. Now, some people obviously do this in a malicious manner, but other people do it because of their ignorance. (It’s called making a mistake, and everyone makes them.) It should also be stated that making mistakes is alright, but it becomes a problem when you do it all of the time. (The problem becomes something other than obliviousness when you decide that it’s good enough.) In spite of having the right answer, you continue to do what is incorrect. And the best way to avoid this is to simply keep up by learning the ropes. Although, just because you do not learn does not mean that you’re not culpable. So, this ultimately means that misinformation is corruptible; the TRUTH is important. After all, what is the point of searching for the facts if you cannot (and choose not to) land on the right answer. (We can all lie to ourselves!) And, of course, this doesn’t lead to any desirable outcome that’s worth all of the downsides!

7. Being Malicious
There are a lot of people who tend to be forceful with their so-called tutoring, preaching, and mentorship. (For example, wondering if you should tell your kid the truth about their existence and why they’re actually here.) It can come off as overly aggressive or even belittling in the process. At the same time, you can harm someone’s motivational thinking — their ambitions — to the point of worry and deprivation. And it’s not just related to the teachers and/or “students” themselves. In fact, it can happen when you’re dealing with other people, and this can create a hostile environment for just about everyone else involved. (It works despite your insistence; however, it doesn’t mean that it’s ethically right or ideal.) After all, ideas of consent and slavery come to mind. (You could be teaching a child how to display little empathy for others.) Of course, this doesn’t make much sense either, but it’s never that easy to know what works or what you can get away with. Although, it’s also pretty obvious when you’re doing it wrong!

8. Wrong Motivations
If you’ve ever been on the shitty end of a long stick, then you’ll likely understand what it’s like to be that loser. A lot of people also tend to overcompensate, and it ends up coming off as a waste of energy. (There are people out there who will make sure that you know about them … poorly.) You obviously don’t want to be too easy on your “student” — this is a matter of balance. At the same time, people who struggle tend to also respond well to breakneck tactics. (Not everyone is the same.) It obviously shouldn’t require a lot of thinking, practice, and training to teach, but it does! You also need to understand what works and not just accept it for what it is. It’s simply not good enough! With this in mind, knowing that your motivations have a lot of importance is quite crucial to understand. This can even relate to your personal life or something else entirely, including what makes your happy or sad. Now, you can do this or that, but having some kind of focus does helps. So, will you identify your “MOTIVATIONS,” or will you not?

9. Disinterest
To whom it may concern, you are not always seeking (looking for) that cycle of unabashed misinformation that just so happens to be floating around. (Are you truthfully displaying disinterest, modesty, and/or apathy?) It’s also a matter of teaching people manners, even if they’ve already landed on the right answer. Of course, obsessing about every little detail can help, but it can also get in the way of a reasonable teaching style. (Abuse and neglect are known to have negative side effects!) Unfortunately, this really has nothing to do with it either, be it the good intentions or decided abuse. And the absolute worst part of this is the lack of a good answer, even though it’s not required. (Who does this, right!?) Not only this, but you can also sense the disease of disinterest. Although, having the right routine, schedule, and tactics makes a big difference in your ability to teach. This additionally works: misdirection, manipulation, and being there in person. It’s not always about what doesn’t work, but it’s also about what gets the job done!

10. Breaking the Rules
When push comes to the inevitable shove, there’s room to believe that people enjoy different things. And the only thing worth accepting in a person’s head is not their opinion or subjective “truth.” In fact, the only thing that truly matters is the truth. (There should always exist a principle towards doing the ‘correct’ thing!) It’s not just about what you’re sharing though, as it’s also about how you do it. There are even things that are incorrect, such as religion, and it can be taught instead of the truth. If you contextualize it properly, then it’s not a problem. Though, you want to be sure to share the history of the course properly.
—
To give a prime example, the small pieces are the reality, and how we can view it is our “subjective” point of view. This is a good thing to understand, which makes it important. the except for. These “philosophies” can also apply to other situations. You may even say, “This a**hole doesn’t use logic or reasoning skills to figure anything out.” Strangely enough, being cynical or pessimistic may also be good methods of execution. Though, the subject matter is different than the teaching method, but some methods work better in certain situations! You simply have to break the common set of rules to get there!
The 10 Ways That You Should Not Teach People
Ending
As you can see, there are a plethora of ways that you should not teach other people. And, although many people can overcome these difficulties, there are better ways to teach those who are willing to learn. However, if you have made a mistake, then you should know that it isn’t the end of the world. (It’s always better to not make any mistakes, but instilling a fear of failure is never great.) Of course, there will be obvious consequences, but it doesn’t mean that this course cannot be corrected. In the end, there are an endless number of ways that you shouldn’t teach someone. However, some ways are certainly way better!
—
This method does happen to work, so why not give it a solid attempt! Although, it also means that we can understand that any number of styles can work or not work, at least given the situation. You can either accept it, or you let it all go. (You can do this or simply give up, but why do that!) It obviously depends on what you’re teaching; however, some methods of teaching are known to be more universally bad. It’s about the idea of what the current zeitgeist is willing to ubiquitously accept. However, this also works so that we can break the rules, but some rules are there for a reason. And this serves to guide us to the light!
—
It also works this way: Don’t be a lazy prick! What do you about this? Well, you can start by learning! We can always seek an ideal solution, but we’ll often fail to get there. At this point, you simply keep trying so that you can make a difference later on. And, at least for the most part, this is not too difficult. Though, this should not understate the importance of learning early on. Unfortunately, this tends to create issues for a lot of children, their talents, and their so-called development. So, there’s a ‘downside.’
