The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
Every month has something to offer, but those same months have something to gain. While there are plenty of reasons to look forward to one, it all gets lost in personal preference. Although all months are somewhat arbitrary, what they generally represent is not. Some of these months can give something great, and others can take it all away. We can talk about how amazing each month is, or we can talk about their order in number of birthdays. These are the 12 most common birthday months, but who cares. You may even learn a thing or two about them.
—
They can all keep you awake at night, but there is always something good to take away. There are birthdays every single month, so no month is truly special. Even if one month has less births than the next, you will still have another human. If anything, this is just an excuse to talk smack about every month. Since every human likes to hear positive affirmations about things generally associated with themself, why not. In the end, it is just a period of time with a name. These are the 12 most common birthday months, from most to least.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
1. August
The summer is known for it’s extreme heat and stagnant weather. If it is not raining with it’s summer showers, then you can expect it to be warm and dry. This is not necessarily a problem, but the hotness can become overwhelming. While July is often considered the warmest month of the year, August does not fall far behind. This month is the second and last full month of summer, but it does not lag behind in heat. If anything, many of the hottest days on record were in August.
—
It depends on where you are, but no matter what, August always seems to be the second warmest. It happens to be the number one in births though, at least in the United States. Generally speaking, August has the most birthdays no matter where you are. If it is not August, it is a close second or third to July or September. While the weather may be different depending on your hemisphere, it may not be as much the case for birthdays. Although, it probably does mean that you were conceived in November.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
2. September
September is the love child of summer and fall, and again, this may be the reason for the death of August. The days are in the middle of shrinking, but this is not necessarily a problem for the night owls out there. It begins to cool at this time, and you even have some funny holidays like Labor Day in the US. If we are talking about weather, then September is a nice month that ends summer and sees temperatures turn into autumn.
—
The full on change will not happen until October, but who knows how climate change will affect this. In spite of global warming, things tend to happen the same way at the same time, generally speaking. It becomes less hot during this time, and humidity drops compared to the previous season, but the difference is not as much as spring to summer. Since both fall and summer are drier seasons, this point becomes moot. To add, September is the second most common month for birthdays, at least in the United States. It may change from place to place and year to year, but this is it’s common position.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
3. July
This month lies in the middle of the year, but this is no game of monkey-in-the-middle. July is generally the hottest month of the year, and it happens to compete well with August for her heat and births. While July is generally hotter than both June and August, it does not always win. Some days in August during the same year can compete, as they are both in the middle of summer. It is no mystery that temperature in certain locations can involve this change in birth rates. While July may be home to the third highest birthrates in America, how would it bode in Australia?
—
If it is the same, then other things are impacting this, and if it is different, is it proof enough that weather has something to do with it. The days are longer and the heat is blazing. If you are looking for dry heat, a good sweat, and a suntan, then this is the month for you. The days are still long, and you could be sunbathing until eight in the evening. Strangely enough, the climate changes the further you get from the equator. You have holidays like Independence Day in America for those who like to look at bright lights exploding in the sky. It should also be noted that July always tend to be in the top three for births and takes the third spot overall.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
4. October
Well, if there is any month that embodies the essence of autumn, it is October. This is the first true month to be within the season of fall, and it certainly shows it. While November competes with it’s holiday charm in the Americas, this barely gives in to the likes of falling leaves and Halloween. October sets the mood for the months ahead, even if you are not necessarily in the thick of it. The leaves fall throughout the months, but most of it occurs at the beginning. The atmosphere begins to truly change and gives you what you bargained for in a season. You even get to drink a bunch of beer in Germany during Octoberfest.
—
When it comes to visual spectacle, the other seasons barely bring the game compared to October. Of course, you have the green trees of summer and deep snow of winter, but this does not compare. The snow, while even important to those who do not get any, can barely fall in some places. The green trees are nice, but spring can bring the same exact thing. You get the moderate weather you are looking for without a nasty price to pay. This is also the first month where your conception is more than likely to have happened in the same year. If this is the case, then you are truly a baby of that year, and there is no one who can change that.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
5. June
If you are a fan of the summer solstice, then June is the howling mood for you. While it is not as warm as July, it is not quite as cool as May. While it is hard to please everyone or any one person all of the time, June certainly hits the sweet spot. The warm weather is not the only welcome edition, as the longest day in the year happens on the first day of Summer. This happens on June 21st every single year, and you can expect to be seeing sunlight until nine in the evening. It would not have been as late if daylight saving time did not happen, as it would darken closer to eight. Even though June is a central month, it does not mean that it is the forgotten middle child of the months.
—
If you ask the average person what their favorite month is, they may end up saying that it is June. You have some holidays sprinkled here and there, but nothing particularly special happens in June. Unless, the comet that comes to destroy us all comes then, then we are stuck having June the way it is. Other than the reasonable weather, reduced pollen, and pension for tailgate parties, you have a mellow month. There are birthdays in June, of course, but it lies somewhere in the middle as well. If it is in the middle, why bother mentioning it? Well, it still has a lot going for it, and somewhere, it leads the world in birthdays . Every month is worth mentioning, and I’m sure that something important happened in June somewhere, holiday or not. There are some really important people who were born in June as well.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
6. March
The seasons and holidays that we celebrate and experience each year have much to do with conception. If your parents were not banging it out in the cold and claustrophobic confines of a winter ridden bathroom, they were springing it. It might be the spring parties or the free booze and pollen, but something certainly happened. There is also something called daylight saving time that involves pushing the clock forward an hour. This generally happens at the beginning of March, while the clock is dialed back at the end of November. Most of the time, this hour is lost to sleep, so it is generally unmissed and “made up” for later on. During the spring and summer, this helps give you longer days, but not in a literal sense. It can give you the illusion of a longer day, but the day and daylight remain all the same.
—
While the day light does continue to prolong, the extra hour allows it to be more late before it becomes dark. All it essentially does is give you more daylight time to go out and drink for Saint Patrick’s Day. If you are not wanting to lose your day or days to drinking, then between March and September are the days to do it.
—
Speaking of birthdays, March comes in the middle of the pack, but some important people were born during this month. I’m sure that some years has March coming out ahead, but it is a special enough month for those looking to be unique and green. You can at least feel better than all of those babies born in harsh months of July or August. Unfortunately, you are more likely to remember these summer months when you are older. In conclusion, March is a winter and/or spring month that does not know what it wants to be.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
7. December
December is the very last month of the year, and it serves as the precipice of what that year had become. This month also mark the winter solstice, meaning that on the 21st of December, you go from fall to winter. It should also be noted that the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year. With the hour being pushed back, in November, you are getting darker even earlier. This is because we are further away from the sun on our rotation during this time.
—
It does not have the earliest sunrise and latest sunset though, and daylight savings time makes this more dubious. Without the time being changed, this would probably not be the shortest day of the year. At best, it would have been a more streamlined continuation of the November daylight but slightly shorter. The shortest day of the year in the southern hemisphere is on June 21st. While the months are the same and happen at the same time in the south, their seasons are different.
—
Christmas is still in December at the end of the year, but they won’t have colder weather. We will all be having Christmas during December at the same time, but they have theirs during the summer. It would be happening at the same time, but we are still a calendar day behind Australia. This means that Australia may have had their Christmas several hours earlier than the United States. The months are still the same, but their December has the warmest weather. This is because summer is still the hottest month in Australia.
—
The context of the days and rotation of Earth matter, and since they are a calendar day ahead, they celebrate earlier. Unless, they like to celebrate the morning after Christmas, they are said and done while we are going to sleep. There is no true time difference, and most people who think or do not think should already know this, right. However, there is a time difference in the only way time truly exists. Unless you are not using the Gregorian calendar, you should not be confused at all.
—
Oh, and it should be noted that December is pretty bleak beyond it’s one true holiday. There are a bunch of promises people wish to keep and long lost memories restored. While Australians may get some thing earlier than us, most products release in the US at the same time or earlier. There are also some birthdays in December, but who cares, especially if it is next to Christmas. It may be good for some, but most people want more throughout the year. Overall, it comes in at seventh on this list.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
8. May
May is known for it’s silly holidays and springtime shenanigans. While the mayday may have not given it away, the humid and warming temperatures will. There is nothing in particular that truly makes May stand out from the rest, or even on it’s own. The Mexicans have Cinco de Mayo, but that is about it. Since Americans like to have any excuse to celebrate, they have taken this holiday in. It only makes sense because of America’s location over Mexico and the population of Mexicans in American culture. There are still plenty of things going on, but every month has some things are not always worth mentioning. Of course you have Memorial Day in the United States as well, but that is where it really ends. Other countries certainly have something going on, but is that really worth going into.
—
May is a modest month with not much to prove. There is little in the way of good times, especially for those looking to avoid seasonal springtime allergies. While the weather is warmer, it comes with a humid cost in most places most of the time. The warm months have already been there, and it just sits near the end of spring with nothing to show for it. Again, it is another month, and every month is special, but other than the continuation of warmness, there is nothing. It is there to be a part of and continue the year, but there are certainly birthdays along the way. While the month is waiting to go by, you are probably wanting the month to last forever. No one likes getting older, but thankfully, May is towards the end of this list in terms of births.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
9. November
November is the 11th month of the year, and while it lays smack dab in the middle of Fall, it homes the fallen. There is really nothing that sticks out in November compared to other months, except for Thanksgiving. You may already be tired out from the previous month, as this autumn month serves as a springboard to December. Other countries may make November a special month for other reasons, but it is not this way in the United States. It generally follows this pattern, but November may serve a more special purpose elsewhere. While some places may have snow, it really does not stick out, as extreme weather patterns are not generally seen here. If they are, it is obviously a special occasion, because wherever you are, the other months are generally more extreme.
—
It is not to say that November cannot get cold, but it generally has a milder climate no matter where you. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as November is generally a decent month weatherwise. It homes some birthdays, but it is near the bottom. If you were born this month, then you can feel at least a little bit special. This is the month that usually has daylight saving time, where the time is pushed back an hour in the morning. It generally happens at the very beginning of the month, and compensates for the time “lost” starting in May. Even then, doesn’t it seem like a lot of people were born on November 22nd (11/22)?
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
10. January
January is at the beginning of the year, and in fact, it is the very first month of the year. During the winter months, you are more likely to have been born during the nighttime. Even so, it is still seemingly rare to have been born close to midnight or between two days. Most people are born during the daytime, and this is still no different during the winter months. The strange thing is that since the hemispheres differ so much, this may not be the case in the cold north or south. In places like Iceland, the nights are exceedingly long, and they only get longer the further you get. The days are generally longer towards the equator.
—
It should be noted that January is one of the months you are most likely to get snow. If anything, January is the month where snowfall is the greatest. February comes close behind, but again, it depends on when, and where you are. Winter is also the only season that spans to the next year, as all years are on a continuous scale. Being born during a winter month is generally less common than the average amongst all other seasons. If anything, fornication is more common, especially if you cannot leave the house. It would seem to be the opposite, but it depends on the situation and context of having a child. In the end, January is the first month of the year, and tenth on this list considering number of births.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
11. April
While people are arguing about zodiac years or astrological signs, you are celebrating April Fools. and how that makes you who you are. If it is someone’s priority to get lost in needless vagary, you can be cracking that next joke on them. April is one of those months that seems more like a placeholder than anything else. It has it’s moments, and it is the first month of spring. Over time, April has solidified it’s place as a higher-tiered month, but it still seems like a passthrough. While you do have the birth of Hitler and 4/20, what else is there to celebrate other than a birthday. The spring, at least in the northern hemisphere brings allergies for the majority of people.
—
It does become warmer, but with this warmth comes a wave of humidity and sickness. While winter is bad because of the flu, you are not necessarily guaranteed to catch it. There are plenty of smaller holidays like Easter Sunday in April as well, but this is a bygone holiday at this point. It does not mean that you will not gain a few days off of school though. For those going to school, you have spring break and beer fests. It just happens to be a time you can take a break from school, but that is not necessarily bad. Any birthday that happens in April seems to stick out like a sore thumb, even though there are barely any birthdays during this month. While this may not necessarily be true, it is certainly the penultimate month on this list.
The 12 Most Common Birthday Months
12. February
February is a cold and lonely month that gets left out like Rudolph. It is the shortest month of the year, but it is only by a couple of days. If there is a leap year, the month has something to prove by being the one month that gains a day. There are some strange birthdays, especially if you were born on the 29th of February during that special forth year. While it snows in February, it is often forgotten behind the likes of January.
—
Although, some years prove that February can be more of a winter month than January. Most of the time, people think of February as the “little brother of love” month. The only reason the winter side of this month even gets forgotten is Valentine’s Day, even if the holiday originated from cold dust. You can send your long lost love a post card, or you can sit in and play a videogame.
—
February seems innocent, but it can be brutal. Even though February is black history month, the fear of love lost can prove to be harsh. It lies in the middle of winter, and it is no wonder that February is overlooked. While it is a good month, all of that seems to get lost in the cold. Most people who live in a colder climate want February to be over, but the same goes for other winter months.
—
The only problem is that it comes before March and is over before you know it. While it may snow more on average during February than any other month, January probably has more icy sleet. People live and dream during February, but no one likes to think of it otherwise. Since fewer birthdays are in February than any other “made-up” month, it is obvious why people wake up on the other side.
