Everything in our lives has always been difficult to some degree, and it has been something that we have had to deal with for ages. It doesn’t matter if it’s now or before, because we’re always dealing with something new. Unfortunately, the things we have to deal with are always the same; we’re always stuck in a cycle, be it personal and/or otherwise. And it’s never going to change for us, including our overall function or personalized endeavors. Thankfully, we have ways of venting, coping, and overcoming — it’s simply dealing with an inevitable problem once it arises. (We will always have problems, and many of today’s problems CAN be worse than before.) Our solutions have become prolonged, and our willingness to live through them has become pathological. Although, many of our problems from before still exist (for the most part) but have been exacerbated. However, it’s not a competition; we’re focusing on the problems that we have today in spite of the past. These are the 3 significant things to worry about today!

1. Finances
To whom it may concern, your so-called financial wellbeing is nothing to scoff at; it is what you rely on for your ability to function in society. (Just like many other things, you can worry about it to many varying degrees.) Unfortunately for you, there is always something ‘around the corner’ that will obstruct you from fully enjoying your ability to function. Be it the never-ending mortgage or the surprise bills from your network company, you’re always going to be struggling, especially if you’re overdue. Thankfully, not every single thing that we carry is a worry, and there is such a thing as being financially secure. And it’s not really like you need to hear this! Although, it is unfortunate that you never know what to expect, and this also means that you are on a tight leash. (What this means is that you always have to worry about something.) There’s also no easy way out of dealing with a mistake when you’re dealing with the IRS or the other multitude of agencies that can find ways to screw you over. In the end, it’s something to notice!

2. Health
Believe it or not, your health is probably on your mind every day — it never really “leaves you.” It’s always been a concern, but most people do not really know how to fix it. (Not to mention that you HAVE to worry about your “loved ones,” too.) We can obviously come up with simple, little solutions that include our diet and exercise; however, this is not the entire story. Unfortunately, we’re running into a lot of health issues, especially since we’re often living artificially now. We’re raking up the costs of our personal health, and we are choosing to live more sedentary existences as well. And, to make this matters even worse, we’re “struggling” — not so much — with more mental illness, but this enabling has its burdens as well. (For what it’s worth, our medicine has gotten a lot better, and we’re fixing a lot more problems. However, it should also be noted that not everything can be fixed. What this means is that we’re in over our heads when it comes to health insurance, terminal illness, and finances! Just be fully aware of the cost.

3. Belongings
The worst part about your worry is that it is not always about cost. (You can lose things, but it’s not always about a monetary price.) Also, if you can not take something, then you are likely to be taken from … possibly … . (The more that you have, the more that you can lose.) People also tend to overvalue their own safety and worth; they’re not very realistic. However, not only are you at risk for losing your belongings, but you are also likely to lose what you cherish most. (Although it seems harsh, it’s something that is likely to happen during your lifetime [everyone’s lifetime].) Of course, it is not to say that we did not worry about this before, but the modern age is a broad time period. It’s also a worry that others had, and the past is a place where worries were often quelled by hardship, too. “What does this mean?” you “ask.” Well, it means that we’re talking about today’s issues that have always been an issue in the past. Be it your loved ones or otherwise, something will be lost in one way or another, “unexpectedly” &/or unfortunately.

As you can see, there are plenty of things for us to worry about, even though I have only listed 3 separate things. (What fun, right!?) Even then, it is all about what we have to worry about the most, be it our “health” or financial wellbeing. Of course, we can always bring up our “mental health,” i.e., depression and anxiety; however, these are mostly a state of mind. (They are worrisome themselves, and they can also cause or effect many unfortunate feelings [e.g., more depression, anxiety, etcetera].) In fact, the worst part about it all is that we will all worry and be correct in our assumptions. Worry and anxiety are real issues, and some things are likely to be worried about with rationality. Things will happen; however, it’s not necessarily a guarantee that they will happen when or where you expect them. In the end, it all works out because of the fact that we’re in over our heads, regardless. After all, our “customary values” are not always in the right place, and our cultures have a lot to do with that. Despite this, the drudgery continues!
